Our Summit Tasting pampers you and your guests with one-on-one attention and is our most customizable tasting experience. Your personal host will guide you through a private tasting featuring a selection of small-production Estate wines selected from the Shadowbrook portfolio. To further tailor the experience to individual tastes, guests may select specific varietals when making reservations.

Offered: Saturdays from 12pm-5pm, Sundays from 12pm-3:30pm

Summit tastings are booked in a private or semi-private (dependent on COVID-19 Restrictions) with a personal wine ambassador.

Cab Vertical $72 Per person

When you arrive, the Cabernet Vertical Tasting begins with a complimentary taste of your selection from our daily tasting menu. Enjoy a personal welcome and brief history of Shadowbrook winery, before you retire to a private area for a luxurious guided tasting through 3 Big California Cabernets to experience the subtle differences as each vintage shows off their unique flavors and body. This is a Cab lovers’ essential, designed for Cabernet aficionados of all levels.

Jon Rae Comparative $72 Per person

The Jon Rae is our version of the classic Bordeaux Blend. Each year, Shadowbrook blends Cabernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc to make the best possible blend for that vintage. This wine is one of our Flagship Bottles. When you arrive, the Comparative Tasting begins with a complimentary taste of your selection from our daily tasting menu. Enjoy a personal welcome and brief history of Shadowbrook winery, before you retire to a private area for a luxurious guided tasting through three of our unique Blends, promising a wine with rich and smooth texture from Walnut Creek’s terroir. This is a Bordeaux lover’s dream.

Luxury Mercedes Experience

Your wine experience begins at your door with a complimentary glass of Rosé as you enjoy a worry-free ride in complete luxury to the winery in our chauffeured Mercedes Sprinter. Once you arrive, a custom wine experience of your choosing awaits. And when you and your guests are ready to depart, the Mercedes will deliver you back home safely.

Our wine tastings require advance reservations in order to provide the best service for your visit.

Tasting Room Guidelines

To ensure a relaxing and unique experience for all our guests, we kindly request that you take a minute to read through our Tasting Room guidelines:
  • We love food. We’re total foodies. In fact, we’re eating right now. But as much as we love food, we cannot allow any outside food. We can, however, give you a ton of recommendations for our favorite local restaurants, some of which pour our wine.
  • While we love kiddos and have some offspring of our own, all visitors must be 21 years of age or older.
  • The only thing with bark around here is the wood on our barrels. Only certified service animals are allowed on property and arrangements must be made well in advance to accommodate said animals. We cannot accommodate pets.
  • The dress code is wine country casual. Shoes and shirts are required, but the good news is you can strip these off once you’re home to enjoy your recently purchased bottle of Shadowbrook Wine in the comfort of your home. You’ll be doing a lot of walking back and forth to the tasting bar, but don’t be misled. We’re not a gym. Please no swimwear, sweats or cycling attire.
